Good news, the Bonita course may be expanding one more time. At least in overall length, not amount of holes. There is a meeting this week with the park officals to discuss utilizing an adjacent piece of land, ( Library/pool area), to allow for less congestion, and a better overall course. Several of the club members walked the holes yesterday, and there seems to be an agreement that the holes are acceptable. I will have the 3 proposed baskets set up on Sunday after league for further evaluation. Also on another note. I have been talking with Stephen at FGCU. They have pulled the baskets from the campus for now, but the university has property out by the Buckingham Bar on Buckingham rd. I am in negotiation with them to install the baskets at that location, or work a deal with Edison St. College to install at the Ft. Myers campus. Summerlin and College Prky. I will keep you up to date on that one as well.

Hi, I am new to this site, I just moved here from Ohio. I am very interested in helping facilitate course development in Cape Coral. Has there been any more talk about the development of a course in Yellow Fever Creek Park in Cape Coral? Here is a link to the plans: http://www.conservation2020.org/preservedetails.cfm?proj_no=298 (click on Land Stewardship Plan). Is there anyone advising the county or city of cape coral about this project, and encouraging them to get it done?

Like Andrew, I am also new to this site though I have lived in the Cape since 2004. I would love to help get a course in Cape Coral and would also be interested in helping to get one started. I would also like to see this forum more active and will be doing my part in that as well!
