Summer league started last Monday! Jesse wants everyone to know what a great turn out we had this evening!

13 players, With a 3 way tie for 1st with 12 downs. Dave and Karl took 1st and Scott and AJ took 2nd.

As many of you have probably heard we lost a great friend and disc golfer last week. Larry Sterba was our first offical club member and did a lot of great things for our club. He will be truely missed. His funural will be this Wednesday Dec 14 at 7pm at Shikany's Funural Home at 28300 S Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs FL. The club has sent flowers from all members and the family has asked that donations be made to the Harry Chapin Food Bank. We will be working on having a tournament in his honor and also putting up a memorial for him at the courses.

The final event in the Sponsorship Series will be on December 3rd - hope to see everyone there!

Port Charlotte will be played Sunday for the Championship.

I know there have been a lot of questions regarding the Port Charlotte course and weather it will be ready for the club championship. Jesse and I walked the Port Charlotte course yesterday. There are new tee pads poured and new baskets installed. There is at least one tee pad & one basket in place for all 18 holes. Not everything is clearly marked so we will be going back out Sunday morning to walk it again and start marking the tee pads and baskets for each hole. Anyone who would like to see the new course is welcome to join us Sunday. We will also be making a map that I will email out next week for anyone who wants to go play before the championship.

Just a reminder Club Appreciation is this Saturday at the North Fort Myers course. Sign up for doubles is at 9am. Also Officer nominations need to be turned in by Saturday. Email your nominations as soon as possible. We will contact everyone that is nominated to verify that they accept the nomination and want a chance to become an officer of the club. Please remember you can nominate yourself. Any questions let me know
